six

We have gotten so spoiled with this awesome weather we have had the past couple weeks. Today it switched on us. It was rainy, cold, and windy up on the course today, but my group was still a lot of fun. Last week a few of us as the day off and it was possibly the nicest day since I have been here. We decided to go hiking over here on Douglas, but we did not get as far as we hoped to. We weren't expecting as much snow. After about two miles we all got fed up with sinking into knee deep snow and turned around. However, it was still absolutely gorgeous. I'll wait to go hike that trail again when more snow melts.

about a mile into our hike.

The last trainee group just finished up last week. It's fun having a full staff and working with different people every day. I'm really excited about getting to know everyone this summer. We had a BBQ slash bonfire the other night in celebration of the last group completing their training out at our work site. That night, a few of us decided to camp out on the beach. It was fun camping out because it had been forever since I had last gotten to, yet it was extremely cold. Especially since I had no sleeping bag and it was just Krista and myself in a huge 10 person tent. We ended up packing up and walking home before 6am, but it was still a good time.

We got the boys to set up our huge tent for us. Thanks, boy scouts. (=

I also got my first black eye of my life. I wish I had a sweet story to go along with this sweet shiner, but unfortunately I just hit myself in the face with some equipment at work.

I cannot believe it's almost June. I'm loving it here. Work is picking up more every week. On average we have about 5 cruise ships in daily. I've been waiting for it to get busy for quite some time now. I look forward to getting to work with everyone else. Alright, friends. Enjoy the rest of your week. Peace and love. <3

  1. That's when you make up a cool story to go with your shiner. Like a fight with a moose.

    Love/miss youuu!
